BETHLEHEM CONCERT SERIES


Free ConcertsFrom Summer through Fall, the Town of Bethlehem sponsors a free concert series on Sunday evenings (and some Saturdays too!) from 6:00 to 8:00 at the town gazebo. Bring blankets or chairs or picnic lunch. Refreshments available for sale along with a 50/50 raffle. Note: In case of rain, concerts will be held at Bretzfelder park on Prospect Street.




FIELDS OF LUPINE FESTIVAL


Wildflower and Lupine Festivals - Bethlehem, Sugar Hill, Littleton, Franconia

The Fields of Lupine Festival is an annual 3 week event. Now in its 14th year, the Festival includes the towns of Bethlehem, Littleton, and Bretton Woods. Visitors have likened the beauty of this event to the brilliance of our fall foliage season. Tour gardens and lupine fields by foot or horse-drawn wagon. Visit area museums and attractions: Sugar Hill Historic Museum, New England Ski Museum, Franconia Heritage Museum, and the Frost Place. Other events include art exhibits, concerts, golf, walking tours, open-air markets, specialty dinners at local inns, and a variety of specials and promotions at local businesses.

2008 Scarecrow Festival

Each Autumn, Bethlehem comes "alive" with a special cast of whimsical characters. The Annual Community Scarecrow Festival attracts numerous entries vying for valuable cash prizes, ribbons, and gift certificates. Scarecrows range from funny to scary, lovable to mechanical. Cruise the streets and enjoy these festive and fanciful Autumn visitors.

Once again this year, Bethlehem will don its holiday best for A Bethlehem Chrimas.

March 15th, 22nd and 29th March Maple Madness Stay at Adair during March and visit our neighbor, The Rocks Estate, for a day of maple sugaring - tap your own maple tree, take home a sample of New Hampshire Maple Syrup, ride in a horse-drawn wagon. The Rocks Estate Maple Sugaring Day is open on Saturdays, March 15th, 22nd and 29th. www.adairinn.com, www.therocks.org
March 20 Bethlehem Hebrew Congregation celebrates PURIM 5 P.M. Join us for the Megillah reading, a festive potluck supper, and a Purim play presented by the religious school students. Wear a fun costume and bring food contributions for the food box to be delivered to the Bethlehem Food Pantry. For more info contact Eileen Regen, 603-823-7711.
March 23 EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, FREE EASTER EGG HUNT Sunset Hill House in Sugar Hill, beginning at 6:30am. Traditionally this is a product of the three community churches (Sugar Hill Community Church, Franconia Church of Christ and Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, also in Franconia). A choir comprised of all interested parties will sing and the message will be given by a local pastor. Refreshments are available immediately following. Easter Sunday Breakfast Brunch from 8:30 to 12:30, with a portion of all revenue to be donated to the Bancroft House Shelter in Franconia. Rates are $17.95 for adults and $12.95 for children. Promptly at noon (registration beginning at 11:20) Sunset Hill House will host an Easter egg hunt for all, with prizes awarded. March 23 Easter Sunday Brunch at Adair Country Inn and Restaurant 10.30am to 2.00pm. Join us for a Festive and Delicious Easter Sunday Brunch with Live Music! $25.95 per person - reservations are required. Please call us on 603-444-2600. March 28 Sunset Hill House Neighbor to Neighbor Charity Dinner Sunset Hill House is pleased to host a Neighbor to Neighbor Charity dinner in benefit of the North Country Boys and Girls Club. This dinner will be held on March 28th at Sunset Hill House’s award winning "Restaurant at Sunset Hill". In the Neighbor to Neighbor program Sunset Hill House will give the profits from a night’s dining at the acclaimed Restaurant at Sunset Hill to a designated partnering organization. www.sunsethillhouse.com, 603 823 5522.

April 12 Neighbor to Neighbor Charity Dinner to benefit of the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests
Sunset Hill House will host a Neighbor to Neighbor Charity dinner in benefit of the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests at the Rocks Estate. The dinner will be held at Sunset Hill House's award winning "Restaurant at Sunset Hill". The society has earmarked all funds raised at this dinner to assist in renovating a historic building and remodel it into a Maple Education Center. The building will exhibit a working sugar arch and educational displays that will be available year round. An interactive trail highlighting the history of maple sugar production will lead visitors to the Maple Education Center. The trail and maple tours will be open year round to visitors. Those who wish to attend need simply call and make a normal dinner reservation at the Restaurant at Sunset Hill (603 823 5522).
