The Bethlehem Visitors Center on Main Street is a great place to start your trip to the White Mountains. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff can direct you to area lodging, dining, attractions, and many other local activities. While at the Visitors Center, be sure to see the fascinating historical displays of the Bethlehem Heritage Society.

The Visitors Center is open seasonally. In the off season, the Bethlehem Heritage Society Museum is open by appointment.

Hours of operation:

  • January and February, 2007: 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. Weekends. Call for additional weekday hours.
  • Exceptions: February 19 - 23: 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. all week
    February 26 - March 2: 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. all week

"Spruce" the Bethlehem Moose ~ Our "official" mascot. This adorable character is soft and cuddly, and comes with an original Bethlehem poem. Price: $6

Bethlehem Christmas Ornament ~ Each year the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce commissions a handlettered glass ornament as a special keepsake for visitors. A limited number of ornaments from previous years may also be available. Price: $4

Note Cards ~ A beautiful collection of 6 different original watercolor prints by noted artist Louise Sims. Local Bethlehem scenes in full color. Price: $6

Throw Blankets ~ These soft cotton throw blankets depict nine local landmarks and four historic churches. Price: $35

Bicentennial History Book ~ A wonderful, comprehensive history of Bethlehem. This 200 page book was edited by George Wilson and updated in 1999 by Mike Dickerman. Softcover, $10.00; Hardcover, $20
